SHIKARPUR: The contingency s
ecurity plan has been finalized on Saturday f
or the processions of Milad-un-Nabi (peace be upon him), to be observed on Dec12.
Officials said that Shikarpur police, in coordination with Rangers and other Law Enforcement Agencies have finalized a s
ecurity plan against any untoward possibilities on the day. As per plan, more than 3000 police officers and personnel would provide s
ecurity to the main processions and gatherings, whereas commandos based on two companies, each of Quick Relief Force [QRF] with additional 200 police personnel will also be deployed on the occasion.
Besides, 20 police mobiles and 12 policemen on Motorcycles will also perform their duties in order to cope wi
th any untoward situation during the processions and gatherings. Processions and rallies will be taken out by religious and civil society groups, wher
eas Mehfil-e-Milad will also be held to highlight the life and the teachings of
the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
